About This Program

The University of Toronto Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) is a full-time, two-year accelerated second-entry nursing program offered through the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing. The program is designed for students who have already completed at least two years of university study and the required prerequisite courses. It is not a direct-entry nursing program for students applying directly from high school.

Students complete nursing coursework and clinical learning designed to prepare them for professional nursing practice. The curriculum integrates nursing theory, research, health assessment, clinical practice, population health, and other areas of nursing education.

The BScN is offered at the University of Toronto's St. George campus and the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). Students participate in clinical learning experiences that provide opportunities to apply nursing knowledge and skills in healthcare and community settings.

Admission is competitive. Applicants must meet the university-study and prerequisite requirements and complete the Bloomberg Nursing supplementary application. Meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.

After completing the BScN, graduates may pursue registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario by meeting the registration requirements established by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
