Along with scholarships, Western University offers numerous grants and bursaries that students can apply for.   • Western Scholarship of Distinction: $3,500 each, ($2,500 in first year, plus $1,000 for optional study abroad experience). Unlimited number, Final admission average of 92.0% to 100.0%.
  • Western Admission Scholarship: $2,500 each, ($1,500 in first year, plus $1,000 for optional study abroad experience). Unlimited number. Final admission average of 90.0% to 91.9%.

Note that if you are admitted to an undergraduate program at Western’s main campus directly from secondary school and are registered in first-year full-time studies you will be automatically considered for one of these admission scholarships; you do not need to submit an application. These scholarships are available to domestic and international students.

Also, to be eligible to receive this funding the student must participate in a Western-sanctioned international learning experience, complete the experience prior to the end of their fourth year of studies, be registered at Western in the academic year the funding is requested and submit an application.

After You Apply Western University

After you apply Western University, the student will receive an email from the admission department as soon as his/her application decision is made. Those selected will receive an offer letter in the email itself:

  • For 101 applicants: Western University delivers offers in rounds starting from December to May. They use the combination of Grade 11 and Grace 12 grades for each offer round. If the student does not get an early offer, they can wait until mid-May.
  • For 102 applicants: After submission of all of the forms and grades, students will have for at least 4 to 6 weeks before University contacts them. If the student has submitted their application early, they can hear from the university sooner as the applications are reviewed on a weekly basis.
  • Acceptance of Application: Students are contacted via email after the declaration of application decision. If an offer is made, students will receive a mail along with an attached link of their personalized Western portal. Students can review their application status there.
  • Acceptance of Application for International students: The students require a letter of acceptance in order to complete their documentation process for study visa. The letter of acceptance is attached on the last page of their offer letter on the Western portal. They need to print it and present it at the visa processing center.
